Goa is India’s smallest state by area and fourth smallest by population, but let that not be a deterrent factor in considering it for your next travel destination.

Fascinating Goa is a blend of the richest culture, the most enticing cuisine, beautiful beaches, warmest traditions, edifices steeped in history religion.

Be sure of one thing, as the saying goes “Good things come in small packages”, one visit to Goa and you will be left craving for more.

Panaji is the state’s capital, while Vasco da Gama is the largest city.

Many tour operators offer packaged tours, but the best way to see Goa is to stay there for an extended period, relax, and do things as per your convenience. Bikes can be hired, better still get a rental car and you can spend all the time the way you want.

Festivals, Carnival, Concerts, local cuisine, natural parks and forests, temples, churches, beaches and the list of things to do and see is endless in Goa.

Goa can be accessed by air, sea or by road. The NH 17 connects Goa to Bombay and Mangalore by road, while the NH-4A connects Goa to the Deccan.

The Dabolim Airport is Goa’s sole airport with a domestic and an international terminal. Several European charter airlines fly to Goa seasonally, typically during the winter months. The domestic service is connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Indore, Kolkata, Nagpur, Pune, Srinagar and Jaipur.
